Mattern and FitzGerald Custom Builders got its humble start in the fall of 2005. We began with the vision of taking care of our customers by hiring the best staff and subcontractors we could find. Since the beginning, we have been insanely focused on process, communication and quality, continually striving to make our clients live’s better. We start each week by asking ourselves what we can do better for you- and that makes all the difference. We look forward to going to work for you and building the home of your dreams.
Jason Mattern-VP Operations/Treasurer
Jason Mattern graduated from Texas A&M University in 1995. He also received a Master of Business Administration from St. Mary's University in 2003. He has many years of sales and corporate marketing experience. In addition he has an abundance of management experience. He understands the importance of addressing customer needs and desires. He has worked with a wide array of customers. Fulfilling customer wants and needs has been the foundation of his career. His family has been in the custom home construction business for over forty years. Jason has decided to carry out the family Tradition and looks forward to assisting you in this process.
Kevin FitzGerald-President
Kevin FitzGerald is a graduate of Texas A&M University. Kevin learned about Tradition and enthusiasm in his endeavors at Texas A&M while being a Yell Leader. He graduated in 1991, and quickly acquired several years of corporate sales and management experience. In addition, he has since had a successful home renovation/construction and real estate business in San Antonio. One of his renovation projects was recently featured in a full page article in the San Antonio Express News. He has learned a great deal about construction and real estate marketing through his successes in this field. He has incredible foresight on knowing and building exactly what people want.
Keith Wing-VP Sales/Project Management
Keith Wing is a graduate of Indiana State University. After college in 1998, Keith began a career in sales and rapidly moved up the corporate ladder. He was Vice President of Sales for a communications company, which he provided many solid years of leadership and growth for the Central Texas Region. During his time building and managing sales organizations Keith grew to realize that he found the most gratification from understanding and identifying customers' wishes. Keith believes that these ideals are the key to success and this is what drives him to succeed today.
Brenda Wamsley-Office Administrator
A 1995 graduate of Indiana University, Brenda has over 15 years of management experience. An Indiana native, Brenda brings a mix of Midwestern family values with a touch of Southwestern hospitality. She believes in building relationships not just for today but also for years to come
Brad Crowley-VP Sales/Project Management
Brad is a 1998 graduate of Texas A&M University. While at A&M, Brad was a four year letterman as defensive end for the football team, defensive captain and won the prestigous Aggie Heart Award- an honor bestowed upon him by his teammates. He went on to briefly play for the Chicago Bears in 1998. Since that time, Brad has been in the commercial and residential construction business and has managed over 200 projects.
Karen Fraley-Executive Assistant
Karen is a graduate of Texas Tech University where she received a BA in Journalism and a minor in Spanish. A proud San Antonio native, Karen is very involved in her community, church and her children's school. Her greatest accomplishment is her dedication to raising two young sons with her husband, Mark. She believes building strong relationships is fundamental to leaving a legacy worth being proud of.
Donniece Tollett-VP Marketing/Design
Donniece Tollett is a rising star in the San Antonio and surrounding areas real estate market. She is a San Antonio native with over a decade experience in working with builders in the region. Donniece has exceptional expertise in helping clients visualize their new home before it's done and keeping them within budget. She first teamed with Mattern & FitzGerald in 2005 and is a licensed real estate agent.
